Interesting read. I would add 2 challenges: 

concern for patient privacy: who shares data with whom? And do institutions trust that, once included in the cloud, patient data will not be distributed beyond those who actually need the information?
Another problem for cloud computing (and new technology in general) still seems to be priority: hospitals and other institutions are primarily focused on making their current patients better, so there is no capacity for such technological innovation.
