I would also add Denodo for their Data Virtualization platform.
I would also add DMelt data-analysis program.
This is a Python environment for data mining, but it runs on Java and accesses a large number of numerical libraries and libraries for 2D and 3D visualization. It has also a lot of useful code examples.
