Professor Sardar M. N. Islam has lived, studied, worked, and travelled (extensively) in different countries in the world for a long period of time, and he adopts a global and humanistic approach in his research and academic works.
2. Appointments as Visiting Distinguished Professor, Keynote Speaker etc:
His research has attracted international acclaim, leading to:
(a) a number of appointments as Visiting Distinguished Professor, Visiting Professor or Adjunct Professor in the area / Department of mathematics, decision sciences, accounting, industrial engineering, finance, operations management, economics and management in different countries; and
(b) a number of invitations to address international conferences as a keynote speaker in different countries.
3. Research Skills, Issues, Methods and Areas:
Emerging ICT/ technologies and mathematical models for Analytics, Digitalisation, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Advanced Mathematical Modelling, etc. for applications in different areas and disciplines.
4. Publications - Books:
He has published 27 scholarly authored research books in analytics, digitalisation, OR, management science, accounting, finance, business, economics and law. Each of these books makes significant scientific contributions to the literature. These books (except 2) are published by top prestigious publishers and majority books are published in highly regarded book series.
He has also published more than 200 articles.
