My Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in math and computer science. I have also started a Master's degree at Harvard University in Biological Sciences. I have 19 years of quantitative and technical experience- most of which has been in analytical and data-intensive roles. My quantitative and technical experience spans a wide variety of industries that include education, logistics, biotechnology, banking, manufacturing and information technology services. I am the President of my state's SAS users group- the Virginia SAS Users Group. Additionally, I serve as a statistical programmer and use a variety of analytics and business intelligence software and tools in my work. My work with my current company started in education analytics deciphering trends in standardized test scores; however, my focus shifted early on to healthcare analytics. I volunteer my time with Sage Bionetworks by downloading large cancer datasets. I utilize machine learning with R and Python to assist in discovering new drug algorithms and potential cures for cancer. My work is highlighted on my LinkedIn profile. I have conducted research on prostate cancer as well as metastatic breast cancer on their platform.
