Fostering a Data-Driven Culture with Interactive Data Analysis in Slack

Effective data-driven organizations make data accessible and easy to analyze. However, for many, data is difficult to obtain and sharing analysis can be cumbersome.

Panoptez, a platform for direct interactive data analysis within the enterprise chat platform Slack, makes sharing data analysis uncomplicated and enjoyable. Slack has become an ideal app for ad hoc data analysis due to its transparent yet secure communication channels, simple file sharing system, comprehensive tool integration, and powerful search operators. With so much data and an interface to interact with machines available, all that is missing is a platform to manage the computations. Panoptez fills this need by providing a no-setup computational environment for analyzing and visualizing data via a simple bot language.

On October 8 at 12:30 pm EST, the MS in Data Analytics online degree program at the CUNY School of Professional Studies will hold a webinar -- Fostering a Data-Driven Culture with Interactive Data Analysis in Slack -- that discusses the challenges related to ad hoc data analysis and how Panoptez works to solve them. Brian Lee Yung Rowe is the founder of Zato Novo, a data science R&D startup, and an adjunct professor at CUNY SPS. At Zato Novo, Rowe leads the development of Panoptez, an intelligent decision control platform. He also consults on data science strategy, and has created a contract classification system for a legal startup as well as a quantitative research platform for a hedge fund.
