All who might be interested,

I have been using Mathematica and MATLAB for technical computing until a year or so ago when I started learning R and now (past few months ?) am trying Python.  What short courses would you recommend that I take a look at for Python.  I have found them a great way to gain competency to R and have taken several at conferences, etc.

Also, I am not familiar with the Python conferences, but work in analytics in general and some quantitative finance and would be very interested in your opinion of the best Python conferences to attend.
Thanks for your time-
