I am new to data. I was recently tested at the Johnson O'Connor Research Foundation which does aptitude testing and I scored well on tests regarding the 'handling' of numbers. Is there a correlation between such aptitudes and working with data? My experience is in customer service and the fine arts. I always found it easy to work with numbers. I wonder what kind of education, formal or otherwise, is necessary to get started. There are a number of ways (in person or online) to learn, including places like General Assembly where one can get started. What is the quickest way to be employable?

Thank you for your answers.
