Dear DSC members

Hope you're doing good
I'm new member of Data Science Central and brand new to Data Science field. I live in Paris Area, France.
I have a 12 years in IT data projects : ERP, BI, CRM & MDM. I did build, design, testing, project management, business analysis and architecture. Currently, I'm a master data architect.
I want to become a Data Scientist.
To do so, I'm thinking to get a certification, hopefully not costly. My target is to be operational by the end of 2015.
I found 2 that suits my case : Udacity and Coursera
I'm in doubt which one will help ? Shall I take both ? Or May be shall I take the DSC Apprenticeship.
I'm expecting also, after a couple of months of practive, to participate to competitions.
Please let me know your thoughts.
Thank you for your support !
With Gratitude
Amine

I've tried Coursera - Johns Hopkins and it's good.

Thanks Swapan

What was the capstone project about ? How this course helped you in your daily activities ?

I will start the course "Data Analysis and Statistical Inference" tomorrow, from Coursera. It is a certificate course and it seems to me a good start point. If you want to know more, the link is the follow:

Best regards.
