Hello everyone,

I'm a first-semester graduate student in Statistics at ASU. I've just started my journey to pursue my long-term goal as a data-scientist. I did my bachelors in mechanical engineering and now pursuing my interest with play with data, I have switched from engineering to Statistics. As a complete newbie in data science, I have already started acquiring basic skills needed for data science. However, in order to make the foundation of data science stronger, I wish to do an internship in Summer '18.

-Any tips on how to get a data science internship for someone who is from a completely different field?

-What steps should I take in order to enhance my resume as well as skills required to land atleast an internship for now?

Any kind of help would be kindly appreciated.

Thanks a lot!
