Short Bio: Vijay Mehrotra is an Associate Professor of Analytics in the School of Management at the University of San Francisco, where he is also the Director of the MBA for Executives program. Vijay’s teaching, research, and consulting focus on how mathematical models transform management in today’s data-rich, information-poor business world. He also writes a column called Analyze This! in ANALYTICS magazine (http://analytics-magazine.com/).

Prior to become a professor, Vijay had a successful career as a management consultant, entrepreneur, and executive. From 1994 to 2002, he was co-founder and CEO of Onward Inc., an operations management consulting firm based in Mountain View, CA. He received his PhD in Operations Research from the School of Engineering at Stanford University in 1992.

Vijay lives with his wife Jennifer and 7-year old daughter Eden in Oakland, California. Over the years, he has cultivated an odd collection of hobbies including improvisational theater, writing, jogging, Burning Man, traveling, angel investing, reading, and the San Francisco Giants.
