Parmod Kumar received his B.S. degree in Marine Engineering from the Marine Engineering & Research Institute, Kolkata, India in October 2002, his M.S. degree in Measurement and Control Engineering from Idaho State University in May 2009, and his Ph.D. in Engineering and Applied Science from Idaho State University in December 2011. Dr. Kumar has worked in Merchant Navy with Mitsui OSK Lines and Chevron Shipping Co. LLC as a Certified Marine Engineer Officer for over four and half years. From August 2007 to May 2009, he worked as a graduate teaching assistant and from August 2009 to December 2011, he worked as a graduate research assistant on a project titled as “Smart Prosthetic Hand,” funded by the United States Department of Defense (DoD), Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC). Dr. Kumar has a wide scope of research interests and published in reputed international conferences and journals. Dr. Kumar is a reviewer for various international conferences and journals. Previously worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow on a behavioral and neurophysiological study at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. Presently working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at INRIA, Sophia Antipolis - Mediterranee, France.
