Can you name 10 famous data scientist women?

And their contributions. I'd like to write an article about them. All the articles I read about "top data scientists" are all about men.

Contact Marie Davidian, Sally Morton or Nancy Geller. Marie is the President of the (18,000+ members) American Statistical Association (www.amstat.org), Nancy is Past President of the same organization.   Sally was also a president of the ASA.  Remember, Florence Nightingale was a statistician. There were and are  a lot of women in statistics.

If you want to be fair to history, you should mention Mary Tsingou, who did the computational work for the famous Fermi, Pasta, Ulam paper in 1955. Please, see the article by Thierry Dauxois here: http://perso.ens-lyon.fr/thierry.dauxois/PAPERS/pt61_55.2008.pdf
