Contact Marie Davidian, Sally Morton or Nancy Geller. Marie is the President of the (18,000+ members) American Statistical Association (www.amstat.org), Nancy is Past President of the same organization. Sally was also a president of the ASA. Remember, Florence Nightingale was a statistician. There were and are a lot of women in statistics.
