Ms. Francis is a leading expert in data-mining and advanced modeling techniques and is VP of Research with the Casualty Actuary Society. Her company specializes in data-mining and advanced analytical methods.
This hands-on workshop will cover such topics as data mining relevance to insurance actuarial industry; project planning and business objectives; data processing; modeling of claim frequency and claim loss; pricing models; and text mining of unstructured data (e.g., adjuster notes.)
Attendees will earn CE credits and will also receive a free trial of STATISTICA Data Miner software, which is already well-adopted by insurance actuaries for ratemaking, fraud detection, claims analysis, reserve estimation, customer segmentation, and other applications.
